Photos: Ghanaian art comes alive at #ChaleWote2015

The historic street of Jamestown a fishing community in Accra the capital of Ghana was lit with the fire of pure Ghana artistic talents and creativity display. It was the fifth edition of the annual arts and creation festival ''CHALEWOTE'' FESTIVAL.

The event provides a platform for both local, international, young and old artists to showcase their talents nd creatioms to the whole world.

The four-day event which commenced on Thursday 20th August had over 5000 visitors throughput the event.

This year's celebration highlighted the beauty of ‘African Electronics’ which stressed the reason why indigenous arts must be embraced.

‘African Electronics’ created awareness of indigenous arts especially in the 21st century when innovation is fast eroding the beauty of the African arts.

The annual Chale Wote arts festival, is organised by ACCRA [dot] ALT with support from partners, REDD KAT Pictures, Foundation for Contemporary Art Ghana, Dr. Monk, AfroGallonism and No Limit Charity Foundation.

This year’s festival featured murals, street paintings, theatre, installations, live music performances, dance, extreme sports, fashion, poetry, historical tours, art workshops, food and technology markets.
